Just here for the boo’s
There’s something about Halloween that just calls for ghoulishly good brews. The costumes. The choreographed dances to “Thriller.” We know kids love Halloween, so we’re elevating their trick-or-treating experience with a drink that’s as dark as night. And for adults, this Halloween-themed cocktail will add additional thrills. Beware: these two drink recipes are sure to lead to a frightfully fun night.
¼ oz grape unsweetened drink mix
¼ oz orange unsweetened drink mix
1 cup sugar
1 liter ginger ale
3 quarts cold water
Combine both drink mixes and sugar in a large punch bowl. Stir in some natural food dyes if desired. Mix well. Refrigerate until chilled. Before serving, pour in ginger ale and stir then place an optional frozen, floating hand in the punch for a real, bone-chilling brew.
3 ounces Pisco Brandy
1 ounce fresh lime juice
1 ounce fresh lemon juice
1½ tablespoons granulated sugar
Dash of Angostura bitters
optional: Dry ice
In a cocktail shaker filled with crushed ice, combine brandy, juices, and sugar. Cover, shake vigorously for 15 seconds, and strain into a cocktail glass. Add a few drops of Angostura bitters. Lastly, carefully top with dry ice for a spooky effect.
